The Day Of The Final Dec 15,2010

During this semester i learned a lot of things for example i learned how to use a Mac computer well know i know more about a mac as when i came in these class i didn't know anything about a mac just the fact that it was a computer with a keyboard and a mouse i didn't know what it had like what kind of programs it has an know I do.Another thing i learned was how to use some of the programs the mac's have to offer one of the programs i used a lot was Pages which is very similar to Word Processing I also learned how to us the program PhotoShop this program is amazing it does things that other programs cant.I think that my effort in class shows in my projects and shows that i really work hard with my assignments.Well the things that i have learned here are very important because they are things that i can use when im older say if i had a company and i decide to make a poster i would know to use Illustrator and not photo shop because it has better things for it than PhotoShop.Well the assignment that was most difficult was the typography because it had to do with a lot of letters and creativity witchi think i couldn't do at the amount of time i had to do it. The assignment that i liked the most was the one that we had to create an image of our selves look like a cartoon and i liked it a lot because we had to take a picture and change the effect to make it look like it wasn't us which was very fun to me.

Well today is a monday and its super cold and well i just worked on the images i have been working with and now im almost done all i need to do next is just finish the images put them on my pages then i will be done.

In class today i was looking for images that i can edit and put on my assignment  an make it look professional and also put information about it so i decided that what im going to do on my 2 pages is talk about photo shop just 2 main things how made it what is it used for and how does it work and i will be adding images that i have created so i can show how it is used.

Today all i did was look at magazines to get an idea that would be for the last project i will get for this semester. i got good  ideas about it an how to start doing them even though its hard and has a lot of steps to it.

Today i started  to use a different  program called illustrator and its a lot like photo shop but a little bit easier and less complicated stuff well that just me maybe photoshop is better than illustrator and well i like illustrator better. well thats all i did i also tried to make a landscape that is really easy an also difficult at the same time.

 Vector-Vector does not store each dot. Rather it stores instruction for drawing the pictureHowever a picture in vector format has to store a lot of information, and so are often huge in size. So they are normally only used for things like line drawings. blueprints, most fonts are vector based so you can resize them from 8 pt to 800 point with lose of clarity

So it means that vector is better for pig posters or blueprints.

And that pixel means that its better for photographs to fix its little defects and it will look good and if we blow it out it will look lame and it wont look good.

The Typography

• Typography is what language looks like. 
• It's the art and techniques of type design.
• It's a design a form of doing it its not words. 
• They use artists for topographic work because you need to have skills to be a typographer.
• It effects potential consumers because of the attention that it brings its like pretty and nice.
• Well graffiti is a type of typography because its a design but thats just my opinion. 
• I think typography its very useful to people and companies.
• Theres alot of effects that typography can create. 
• Typography also makes the text come to life and after learning about this it was very interesting.

Today november 18

Today i worked on my numbers chart and i found out that i have to many sugars and fats in me -_- i eat a lot of that and i need to eat more vegetables >.< because i need it more and i drink a lot of water too and fruits is cause i like fruits :P  and thats it an i also worked on my photoshop assignments because im late on them an also i worked on the typographic thing and well thats all i did today. Today i wrote a paper about an article how companies lie and waste a lot of money to be able to keep a good image of there company its just not good but companies have to doit so there products are sold and bought.I also had to work on the stuff that i didn't finish last week.

 Well i think that what companies are doing is bad and they shouldn't be doing this like buy people to speared a good for them and plus its not even that good because it is just a 1.5 cents for a teen to post on a blog of these that they like are buying or using these products and that are good and well there are just wasting money when they could be using that money they waste on something productive for them and well  they just want a good image for there companies because they just want t protect the company to make it productive.

The companies that are doing this are defiantly not honest but thats just how it is people have to lie and waste money to spread a good word about there product so they would get more clients and it does effect it in the blogging world because in the internet it is the fastest what for word to be spread almost all over the world even if its good things or not good this blogging world is not safe but people still go for it because its on the web so this is just not and honest blogging world.This also affects the internets honesty and integrity its just not a lets say loyal internet because theres is a lot of things just like in this article that not just china has this is happening all over the world. 

To me this article was very informative because it tells me what a Chinese company does and well this probably all companies do pay people to get customers and have a good positive image of there company thats just hoe companies are successful.

Today i learned what typography is and what it does and how people are affected to it and all that there is i also use flicker witch makes anything you type look like you did it with different pictures it looks nice :) but i still didn't finish my assignment for today because i was still finishing the last assignment that i was working on so i didn't even get to answer the questions how i wanted to.

Today everything was fun and difficult but i like to learn about it and try to do everything right just like every step tells me to do so.and well im kind of behind because i haven't finished my picture and i still have to do what was posted today on the blog witch i think im going to have to finish by the next time i come to this class.

ok so today i toke a quiz it was frustrating because i toke it by my self like 10 times and all those times i got a 85 and then when i called mr.w i got a 100 so i was like what thee! so then after i finished the quiz i started to working on the photoshop assignment and its like kind of hard because i have to outline everything the dog has that want it to show .

today in class i was using photoshop its a good program for editing and  to put special effects also to make a picture like its a total different picture.well the main thing i did was just explore and experiment with the program see what i can do and other things it was kind of boring because i wanted to do something like actually do something to a picture like an assignment or something like that.

7- As the yellow ink cartridge no longer has enough ink to work as designed, what happens to the other colors?.

The other colors start to fade its not as bright as it would be with a lot of yellow.

The colors also start to fade like if we mix all the colors together you would get the color black but now that its low it shows like a dark red color.

Today i got to use a spectrometer to find out what kind of numbers i needed to use to come up with the colors that where on the chart it was kind of fun.

The assignment of colors.

1. How do you think the Spectrometer works?

I think the light just works with it and it gives out the number of color it has for each one.

2. Were there any unexpected results? What were they?

No there was really no unexpected results almost none went over 5. 

3. Were there any differences between the different printers?

Not really it looks like the same pretty much they have the same things like the same process for each thing they each have to have the RGB and the CMYK codes to be able to print out the colors you want to come up with.

4. Compare the printed color sheet to the one linked in the blog. What differences due you notice in the RGB display versus the CMYK printout.

There manly the same they each have a special code but for the RGB theres just the 3 main colors to come up with the rest the mixture of those 3 colors to come up with more.And for the CMYK the colors are the ones that you can mix together to come up with other likes brown and orange and other colors like that.

5. Did you notice the Hex Codes for each color. Would you say Hex codes have more in common with RGB or CMYK? Explain.

I think that the hex codes are more for similar to the RGB because the numbers correspond more to the RGB. 

6. Do you think the use of spectrometry is important for publishers? Why or why not? rgb

Yes its important because they work with almost every number and if something goes wrong with one of there printers they have to fix that because they would need the right color.

7. What sort of consequences may arise if spectrometers were not used in publishing?

Well i think that it would be weird because there wouldn't be any color so it would mostly have like white or black witch wouldn't help because we need certain colors so we can see and read the information that the  publishers want us to have.

Today played with the iphoto and i tried to make it look like one of the pictures that mr.w had posted on the blog and i think i got it to look just like the one that was fixed and also made one of my pictures the same i used the same steps .

Today i found out how to use codes to come up with a curtain colors thats really cool because now i know how they come up with colors .

Today is October 6

Today all i did was worked on the brochure to just fill it up with information about france and what places i want to visit and so far its just 4 places and 22 days that we will be staying in france. Its kind of annoying that every single thing i use for my brochure has to be sited its just hard having to do it over and over again so im kind of frustrated with that.

Today all i did was work on my brochure i was putting information about the trip how much is it going to cost and when are we going and when we are coming back  and how many days we are going to stay over there also what sites we are going to be visiting.

Today i working on my trip project and its pretty annoying and frustrating because i have to do all the work again and today thats all i worked on just getting it how it was ugh! and i still haven't finished because i still need 3 images from the other file so i'm going to finish doing that on monday hopefully. and then i can start on my brochure .

Review

Well what i have learned this time since i've been here is that i can make a document and post it up on a website called google docs witch is pretty cool to me because this is like saving a document in the web and then you can go to it when ever and also if something happens to the computers you can get the document off the internet and start to work on it and i think thats cool i also learned that creating a pdf file helps us because that way all the information that you posted on the google docs stays in the documents and you don't lose anything. I also learned how to use photoshop i also learned how a blog works. In the future this could help me a lot like when i have important papers or just in general documents i can put them as a pdf file and with that i can use it and do anything with it without having to lose any information and i like that . And with photoshop i can use that in the future like when i have to do this like in a project and having to take pictures of my documents i would be able to edit them and what not.

Self grading

I think i deserve a hundred because i did everything in the rubric and the only thing i think im not going to do good on is the part where i need citations i have like 4 only because i have only work on my first part o my project and in this part i really don't have a lot of stuff only pictures.

On the general part i deserve a 4 because it has everything it requires it has the page numbers and the design style

The cover i should also get a 4 because has a title and image of my country and it is constant with documents design style.

The table of Contents is well organized and it matches with the page numbers and it still has the same design style and thats why i think i should get a 4

On the work log i have the initial design and sketches that i maid it has the 3 sketches I'm suppose have
i also explain why i want it like this and it had every thing how its suppose to be so i should also get a 4.

The bibliography is pre sent in mla format and it is in alphabetical order but i don't have twelve and i don't think i need twelve for the first of the art because its just getting images and that is why i should get a 3.  

On the last part of the project i should get a 4 because my document does not have typos and has no spelling mistakes and grammar its all good and i should get a 4.

so over all i should get like an A :)

Today 9/20/10

Today i got to design all my layouts well the pages that i am going to use and i put 2 kinds of fonts i also got some pictures to put up on my pages and i also put some cool things on it i also learned how to put a table of contents.

Today i started to do the title page well the cover and the table of contents but i am  having trouble with it because i want it to go with my design i am doing an i also want to learn how to number the pages .

1- What is stock photography?
 Stock photography is a supply of photos collected to use instead of hiring a photographer.

2- Why can't we just use random images off google?
Pulling images randomly from online could result in using a copyrighted images.

1- What is plagiarism? Any good reasons to avoid it?
 Plagiarism is copying something that is not yours its bad. And to avoid it you should just do your work 
and not copy people because that is bad .

The  forms of citation style are MLA and APA.

MY COUNTRY

The country i chose was france because its a such a popular country because its so pretty and they have alot of good food like pizza,pasta,ketchup and stuff :D

The Questions

Scenario #1 – A student sends a harassing e-mail to another student. The receiving student
retaliates with a “flaming e-mail.” Is this the appropriate response? If not, what would be?

Answer- I think that the student should'nt response back to the e-mail the student should just show an adult and let them handle it.


Scenario #2 – When hanging out with friends, one of the students makes a call on their cellphone and carries on a conversation while still within the group. Is this ok? Why or why not?


Answer- I dont think this is ok because its rude and disrespectful. 

Scenario #3 – A student logs on to a free file sharing website and downloads a song they just heard on the radio. Is this ok? Why or why not?


Answer-This is not ok because a student is not allowed to download stuff of the internet.

Scenario #4 – A student follows a questionable link to a website and downloads a malicious script which releases a Trojan Horse virus on to the school network. Is the student to blame? Why or why not?


Answer- yes because first of all the student is not allowed to download anything with out notifying the teacher.
Scenario #5 – An hour before class, a student remembers that a writing assignment is due. The student goes to the library, logs on to a website, and copies/pastes the information. Is this ok? Why or why not?


Answer- This is not ok because that would be  plagiarism and its not right.
Scenario #6 – At home, a student uses a software package to copy movies and games from DVD’s for his or her friends. Is this within fair-use laws? Explain.


Answer-No is not fair because thats like stealing and stealing is wrong and can go to jail for doing this because stealing is a crime. 
Scenario #7 – A student logs into the school website to download the syllabus they lost. Are they breaking any rules or laws? Explain.


Answer- I think this is still breaking the rules because students are not allowed to download anything from the internet unless the teacher has allowed the student to do so.
Scenario #8 – Students spend a good amount of time in class creating a web page for a school sponsored fundraiser. However, there website is not usable by certain individuals with disabilities. Was this disrespectful or wrong of them?


Answer-Yes i think this is disrespectful because its not being fair with all the individuals.

The survey

This was when we took the survey and we got the result of the survey witch was kind of interesting because a lot of people mostly knew how to use a computer.A lot of people know how to use the programs because it showed on the survey.

The Avatar and the blog

The day I created an avatar was fun because you can make it dance you can also put clothing on the  doll that you get you  can change the way it looks how it acts and stuff like that so u mainly creates a doll that reflects what you are you can also create a background for it and make it txt or make it sing or use a computer so that was fun to create.

Also when i created my blog i had to change the background and also add text to it and change the colors of the page so it can look unique.
